About The Item
Paris Sofa is an elegant, curved sofa designed by Elias Svedberg. With the approval of Svedberg's descendants, Dusty Deco was given the approval of relaunching the sofa in 2023. The Paris Sofa has a frame made of solid beech. Springs and different layers of foam in the seating area assures great comfort. In this version, the sofa is covered in a luxurious and durable mohair cover with a deep pile. In 1937, architect and designer Elias Svedberg presented a sofa for the Swedish pavilion at the World Exhibition in Paris. The sofa was part of an interior that he created together with designer and textile artist Astrid Sampe. In addition to Paris, the sofa was exhibited in Warsaw in 1938 and Malmo in 1939. The Paris Sofa is a great example of Swedish Modern, a style that has become popular all over the world.
