The chair was created in 1959 as part of a series of architecturally inspired indoor - outdoor furniture, the proportions of which were designed to relate to the surrounding enviro - ment. It features a comfortable inclined seat and back, with armrests, legs and runners that are mortised together to form two squares - a detail that is realized through expert craftsmanship.
