About The Item

In the mid-1800s, Michael Thonet revolutionized the furniture making industry with his innovative steam bending techniques to create durable, lightweight chairs. Crafted by TON in the original Thonet factory, the 14 Chair is characterized by a curved and delicate silhouette. Its iconic shapes are created by six manually bent beech rods, two bolts and ten screws. Chair 14 gained popularity in the cafes of Vienna, and thus became known as the "cafe chair". Available in several wood finishes.
