The Butterfly Dining Chair is available in your choice from a selection of ercol finishes which both protect the timber and allow the beauty of the natural grain to show through, whilst enabling you to choose the look to match your style and decor. A feature of this dining chair is the classic Utility wedge joint, where the leg of the chair goes right through the seat; a wedge is then inserted into a cut in the leg, forming a remarkably strong joint. Sanded off flush with the seat, the joint then provides a beautiful design element. First launched in 1958 the Butterfly Dining Chair is as fresh today. With its distinctive curved bent plies, reminiscent of the profile of a butterfly's wings, the Butterfly Dining Chair is one of ercol's most iconic designs.
